Nia Community Development Corporation of Greater Richmond is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission to empower people to help themselves and others achieve wellness, holistically, through awareness, education, support and advocacy.

H.E.L.P. Free Clinic, located in Hampton, serves the low-income poor and working populations of Hampton and Newport News who do not have health insurance. We are an acute medical clinic which will see patients who earn less than 200% of the federal poverty level.

A non-profit 501(c)3 organization that promotes health, dignity, and inclusion through accessible sexual health services, HIV care/prevention, and LGBTQ+ support by building equitable, healing-centered spaces in our community. We envision a stigma-free future where people in need of sexual health support and HIV care as well as an all-encompassing society inclusive of LGBTQ+ individuals can heal, thrive, and live with dignity and connection.

LGBT Life Center offers frozen, ready-made meals, pantry assistance (like proteins, canned goods, and dry goods), and quality produce to help end hunger in our community.

Community Based Organization

Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services provides medical, mental health,and dental care to adult residents of Goochland County who are uninsured and cannot afford this care. Other services include a food pantry, emergency financial assistance, case management, emergency home repair, emergency housing, clothes closet, literacy and GED training, and medical transportation, Patients are required to be Goochland County residents with an income under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.

MASS continues to work hard achieving our mission to assist in sustaining and improving health, protecting the dignity and encouraging independent living of people living with HIV/AIDS. Through this project MASS manages the provision of the Food Voucher Program throughout the Transitional Grant area to people who have HIV/AIDS and are eligible for Ryan White Part A services. MASS maintains and provides for clients an up-to-date resource listing for both the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank as well as the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia. This service provides certificates/gift cards in increments of $25 based upon household composition. Certificates/gift cards may be redeemed for food at cooperating supermarkets such as: ALDI Farm Fresh Walmart Food Lion Vouchers are provided from retailers who offer produce, meat, and dairy items, as well as personal hygiene items. Certificates/gift cards cannot be used to purchase alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs or firearms. Certificates/gift cards may not be redeemed for cash.

FAHASS is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to positively impact individual and community health. We provide a safe environment to learn, grow, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our staff is dedicated to providing quality service to clients, their families, and to the greater community. We serve the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Caroline, Culpeper, Fauquier, King George, Madison, Orange, Prince William, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland. Support services provided by the Nexus program expand the options available to newly diagnosed or People Living with HIV giving them the benefit and flexibility of receiving HIV-related care in a medical setting of their choosing – a private infectious disease, primary care or specialist practice. Your doctor can refer you to Nexus and based on your eligibility you may enroll in the appropriate support services to supplement your medical treatment and help you achieve and maintain viral load suppression.
