We are proud to offer all aspects of primary medical care and mental health, substance abuse and case management services to HIV positive individuals along with a history of delivering compassionate HIV/AIDS clinical and education services. Our convenient services are available at locations around Northern Virginia. We provide compassionate, dignified care to individuals regardless of their sex, race, background, sexual orientation, religious preference, financial status or insurance coverage. To provide access to service providers and improve the quality of life for homeless individuals, individuals and families living in poverty, income deficit families, and individuals infected with/affected (family, friends, relatives, and the general public) by hiv/aids/sti's. To promote and educate the general public to take preventative measures to stop the spread of hiv/aids/sti's and ultimately to reduce the infection rates of hiv/sti's. Additionally spa provides consultant services, education services, technical assistance and training to the general public to include local schools, universities, faith based groups, community based programs, organizations, agencies, police departments, correctional facilities, u. S. Military installations,landlords, and veterans administration medical center. Programs: Prevention,education, awareness - spa provided hiv/aids and other sti's prevention, education and awareness activities. Additionally spa provided over 3,000 hours of consultant services, educational services, training, technical assistance to agencies, organizations, service providers and individuals.

Insurance coverage is not always a certainty even for the employed, and financial hardship can prevent many from otherwise obtaining services. We believe that access to health care is critical and that counseling and therapy can be a lifeline for our community’s most vulnerable. Adults Many working adults do not receive adequate or any healthcare benefits. Our goal is to connect low-income adults in our community without access to health, dental, or vision insurance to free or low-cost services. Our programs include linking clients to dental offices for dental examinations and treatment, free eyeglasses, as assisting clients in obtaining free or low-cost prescription medications offered by more than 300 pharmaceutical companies. Children Primary pediatric care is essential for children’s health and wellbeing. Our program provides uninsured low-income children with access to pediatricians at no cost to the family. Services include connection to Kaiser Permanente in the Woodbridge/Manassas area for medical and pharmacy services, care coordination, and parent health literacy training sessions. We also link children to dentists who provide low-cost dental services.

Horizon Health Services, Inc. is a Community Health Center committed to enhancing the quality of life for people of all ages in Sussex, Surrey, Southampton, and surrounding counties.

The Free Clinic of Central Virginia serves low-income (200% of the federal poverty level or lower) persons without health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid for the service being requested and provided. Present figures indicate that over 70% of the patients are working at least one part-time job or more. At least one-third of the Free Clinic patients have been identified with chronic illnesses (i.e. asthma, diabetes, hypertension), which necessitate ongoing medical care and medications. Specialty medical services are available in 20 different areas. A Medication Accesss Program, which is called MedsHelp, provides prescription services to Free Clinic patients as well to patients referred by physicians in the Central Virginia community. A dental clinic for exams, dental hygiene services, restorations, and extractions treated 2,034 unduplicated patients in over 5,200 visits in 2011. Some dental specialty services have been added, but they are only provided to long term patients at this time.
