Local Health Department The Health Department's mission is to advance Healthy People, Healthier Communities. We provide essential public health services to Alexandrians, and others who work and play here. We operate public health specialty clinics; help our communities to prepare for, respond to & recover from public health emergencies; assess food safety at restaurants & permitted facilities; investigate communicable diseases & offer guidance to prevent the spread of disease; and advances community wellness.

Horizon Health Services, Inc. is a Community Health Center committed to enhancing the quality of life for people of all ages in Sussex, Surrey, Southampton, and surrounding counties.

Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

Operating for 40+ years, Southeastern Virginia Health System (SEVHS) is the premier community-based health care initiative in Hampton Roads for the insured, uninsured, and underinsured. The 501(c)3 operates twelve sites, providing primary care and dental services to individuals and families. SEVHS physicians are board-certified and provide services in the areas of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. With practices located in Newport News, Hampton, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Franklin, SEVHS also offers a number of other support services such as health education and nutrition counseling, case management, referrals to specialty care, medication assistance and on-site lab testing. Southeastern Virginia Health System is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VACHA). SEVHS services over 25,000 patients annually.

The Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic serves low-income, uninsured adults who reside in the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford. Approximately 90% of the clinic's patients have household incomes less than 125% of the federal poverty guidelines

We are proud to offer all aspects of primary medical care and mental health, substance abuse and case management services to HIV positive individuals along with a history of delivering compassionate HIV/AIDS clinical and education services. Our convenient services are available at locations around Northern Virginia. We provide compassionate, dignified care to individuals regardless of their sex, race, background, sexual orientation, religious preference, financial status or insurance coverage. The Lackey Free Clinic is a faith-based free health ministry, and serves patients who live in Williamsburg, York County, and Newport News. We provide medical, dental and mental health care as well as prescriptions to individuals residing in the area who fall below 200% of the federal poverty level and are not insured. Many of our patients work multiple part-time jobs or full-time jobs but do not have health benefits.

Programs that specialize in the care of the teeth and associated structures in the oral cavity including the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the teeth and gums.

Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic is committed to ensuring that the communities of Gloucester and Mathews Counties having access to basic healthcare and education services.

It is the core value of PATHS that everyone has the right to quality health care. PATHS provides a medical home for everyone -- including the uninsured and underinsured as well as a point of entry into established human service agencies and health care system.
