The Alleghany Highlands Community Services Board is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals in our community with behavioral health challenges and developmental disabilities. AHCS is committed to preventing the occurrence of these conditions through an integrated community-based system of care. AHCS is committed to being responsive to individual needs and choices. Alleghany Highlands Community Services (AHCS) began in 1983 and is one of forty Community Services Boards and Behavioral Health Authorities established under the Code of Virginia to provide comprehensive services to individuals who have mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders. As the publicly funded safety net for service delivery, we must continuously monitor and evaluate our cost for services as well as the effectiveness of what we do. AHCS operates multiple service sites throughout the Alleghany Highlands, with over 127 employees working to support our services. We are proud to have served our community for 38 years. AHCSB is accountable to and licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) for the quality of care and fiscal accountability of the programs under its jurisdiction. AHCS is governed by a nine-person all-volunteer board appointed with members from each jurisdiction by local governing bodies – Alleghany County, Clifton Forge and the City of Covington. The Board members are people from the community with various occupations and interests who serve three-year terms of office.

AAt Community Access Network, our vision is that everyone has a medical home providing optimal individual and community wellness. We lead the way in creating a network of healthcare providers and organizations that prioritize health and compassion over bottom lines and will work to break down the barriers that keep individuals from getting the care they deserve. We serve everyone—regardless of age or insurance status. We want patients to understand that we—the staff, the doctors, the nurses— live, work and play in the same community as they do. When patients come to Community Access Network, they’re being treated by their neighbors, their fellow church members and those they see on the bus every morning. We want our patients to understand that their health is all that matters to us and that the quality of care they’ll receive will be consistent, courteous and compassionate. Our medical offices are open evening hours, and we offer same-day and walk-in services at some locations. We accept most insurances, including: PCHP, Optima, Anthem, Aetna, VAPremier, Tricare, Medicaid and Medicare.

Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare (BRBH) is the Community Services Board serving adults, children and families with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia. We serve residents of the Cities of Roanoke and Salem, and the Counties of Botetourt, Craig, and Roanoke.

Horizon Behavioral Health is the premier provider of mental health, substance use, and intellectual disability services in Central Virginia.

Operating for 40+ years, Southeastern Virginia Health System (SEVHS) is the premier community-based health care initiative in Hampton Roads for the insured, uninsured, and underinsured. The 501(c)3 operates twelve sites, providing primary care and dental services to individuals and families. SEVHS physicians are board-certified and provide services in the areas of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. With practices located in Newport News, Hampton, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Franklin, SEVHS also offers a number of other support services such as health education and nutrition counseling, case management, referrals to specialty care, medication assistance and on-site lab testing. Southeastern Virginia Health System is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VACHA). SEVHS services over 25,000 patients annually.

CrossOver Healthcare Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the uninsured and those enrolled in Medicaid in our community through the operation of two healthcare clinics, one in the City of Richmond and one in Henrico County. CrossOver offers comprehensive healthcare services to its patients, including primary care, specialty care, pediatrics, HIV/AIDS testing and care, women’s health and prenatal care, mental health, dental, eye and vision care; medications and medication management, and our Bridges to Health program. Community Services Board

ARS Treatment Center in Charlottesville, VA is a CARF-accredited provider specializing in treating substance use disorders, including opiate treatment, methadone maintenance, and other substance abuse treatment. ARS provides group, individual, and family counseling, and medication-assisted treatment in an intensive outpatient program focused on recovery.

ARE is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides innovative approaches to improve health disparities in our community. For almost thirty years ARE has offered individualized HIV support care services to those impacted by HIV. At AIDS Response Effort, Inc., their Ryan White Part B Case Management Services are dedicated to providing comprehensive support for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Their goal is to enhance the quality of life for our clients by ensuring they have access to essential medical care and supportive services. Ryan White Part B Eligibility Assessment Site.

Outpatient mental health and Substance Abuse programs for adults, children, adolescents. Case management supports treat-ment by helping individuals figure out what services are needed, empowering through person centered planning.

Inova Juniper Program is Northern Virginia's largest provider of HIV/AIDS care. We are proud to offer all aspects of primary medical care and mental health, substance abuse and case management services to HIV positive individuals along with a history of delivering compassionate HIV/AIDS clinical and education services. Our convenient services are available at locations around Northern Virginia. We provide compassionate, dignified care to individuals regardless of their sex, race, background, sexual orientation, religious preference, financial status or insurance coverage.
