The Roanoke Valley Mental Health Care Collaborative provides free mental health assessments, psychiatric care and medication management, access to medications and counseling to uninsured adults who are not eligible for mental health treatment in any other system of care available in our community. More than 95% of our clients have income at less than 150% of the federal poverty level. Services provided through the collaborative decrease the severity of symptoms of psychiatric disorders, improve performance at work or school, strengthen personal and family relationships and enhance the quality of day-to-day functioning for our clients, thereby reducing both human suffering and the economic and societal costs resulting from untreated mental illnesses.

Fredericksburg Counseling Services, Inc.(FCS),a mental health free clinic, provides access to counseling and other related services, at no charge, to low income, uninsured residents of our region. Services include individual, couples, family counseling, case management for FCS clients and educational presentations. ARS Treatment Center in Charlottesville, VA is a CARF-accredited provider specializing in treating substance use disorders, including opiate treatment, methadone maintenance, and other substance abuse treatment. ARS provides group, individual, and family counseling, and medication-assisted treatment in an intensive outpatient program focused on recovery.

We are a nonprofit, peer-run organization that serves Harrisonburg City and Rockingham, Page, and Shenandoah Counties in Virginia. Our organization is comprised of individuals who have overcome substance use, mental health, and trauma-related challenges. Grounded in our lived experiences, our mission is to offer hope, support, and advocacy for those seeking recovery so that they can build resilience and thrive in their lives and communities.
