Established in 1978, Edmarc Hospice for Children was the first hospice in the nation designed specifically for children. Edmarc is the only pediatric hospice organization in Hampton Roads. The mission of Edmarc Hospice for Children is to ease the trauma of a child's illness or death and to reduce the disabling effects of pediatric illness, loss, and bereavement on families.

H.E.L.P. Free Clinic, located in Hampton, serves the low-income poor and working populations of Hampton and Newport News who do not have health insurance. We are an acute medical clinic which will see patients who earn less than 200% of the federal poverty level.

Metro TeenAIDS, founded in 1988, is a community health organization dedicated to supporting young people in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Through education, support, and advocacy, MTA provides HIV testing and counseling to prevent the spread of HIV. MTA promotes responsible decision-making through its in-school and after-school school programs, and improves the quality of life for young people who are HIV-positive, at risk of HIV infection, or in families with HIV/AIDS. MTA is the only organization in the Washington, DC area focused solely on the needs of youth as they relate to HIV and AIDS.

The mission of the Minority Health Consortium is to, with the involvement of the community, public and professional organizations and interested citizens, raise the general level of health of minority persons in the Richmond metropolitan area, through participatory strategies, which enhance healthier lifestyles. The Virginia Farmworkers' Legal Assistance Project is a program of the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society. We offer legal assistance to migrant farmworkers' working in Virginia under the H-2A visa program, as well as migrant farmworkers who are legal residents or citizens of the US. We represent clients with work related legal issues, such as unpaid wages. Our office is located in Charlottesville, VA.
