The Virginia Disease Prevention Hotline provides toll-free lines to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Counselors answer questions and provide crisis intervention, referrals, and written educational materials regarding Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), HIV/AIDS, and Viral Hepatitis. Inova Juniper Program is Northern Virginia's largest provider of HIV/AIDS care. We are proud to offer all aspects of primary medical care and mental health, substance abuse and case management services to HIV positive individuals along with a history of delivering compassionate HIV/AIDS clinical and education services. Monthly 2nd Friday meeting providing safe space for connection, peer-facilitated trans support, and community building. TGEA is for those in gender transition, considering the possibility (even remotely), or post-transition (however the individual may define that), and to anyone anywhere along the gender spectrum, whether static or dynamic. Significant others, friends, family, and allies are welcome. 2nd Friday is composed of four sub-groups: please see website for details about each group. 3rd Sunday group for significant others of those in transition. All groups are currently meeting on Zoom; contact for information on how to connect. TGEA can also provide speakers to organizations or community groups for outreach and/or education.

Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

Founded in 2006 as the Hepatitis B Initiative of Washington, D.C., the organization began with a focused mission to address hepatitis B disparities in underserved communities across the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. Over time, it became clear that testing alone was not enough to improve long-term health outcomes. Individuals needed education, navigation, and sustained support to move from diagnosis to care, and ultimately toward independence in managing their health. In response to these gaps, CEO & Architect Sandra Marrero Ashford, MPH, MPA, MA created the Health Betterment Initiative (HBI), a broader public health model designed to move beyond disease-specific testing toward sustainable access to care. Formally launched in January 2024, HBI represents the intentional redesign of the organization’s approach, integrating: -Community Health Workers in the field -Education around complex health conditions -Linkage-to-care and resource navigation -Apricot, HBI’s data-informed system and data collection with support of AI which insures follow-up and continuity. This shift reflects a move from isolated screening efforts to a structured model that connects community trust with measurable outcomes. Through the combination of field-based outreach and data-informed infrastructure, HBI works to ensure individuals are not only screened, but supported in understanding their health and navigating systems of care. The long-term goal is sustainability: equipping communities with the knowledge and confidence to engage providers and access care independently.

Programs that provide a therapeutic living environment in community-based facilities for individuals who have emotional and/or behavioral problems and require a structured, supervised treatment program which may include individual, group, family and other treatment modalities as appropriate, but who do not require inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Programs that provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic and treatment services for people who have contracted gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes or another infection that is transmitted by sexual contact. Treatment usually involves an investigation of recent contacts of people who have been infected to stop the spread of the infection .
