ARS Treatment Center in Charlottesville, VA is a CARF-accredited provider specializing in treating substance use disorders, including opiate treatment, methadone maintenance, and other substance abuse treatment. ARS provides group, individual, and family counseling, and medication-assisted treatment in an intensive outpatient program focused on recovery.

They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. is a non-profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), committed to the health care of individuals and families of our community, regardless of race, religion or social status. We currently operate out of six (6) different Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health centers located in Lunenburg, Dinwiddie, Amelia and Greensville Counties. We are dedicated to providing health care to everyone, including the medically underserved, uninsured and underinsured. This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). This health center has FTCA deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

The Chris Atwood Foundation is a peer-driven community organization in Northern Virginia that works to provide FREE lifesaving recovery support and resources to people impacted by substance use, to create policy changes that serve the health and well-being of the community, and to help prevent substance use disorder. Addiction is a health condition that requires proper care & treatment. Recovery is possible and there are many pathways to recovery. People who use substances have a right to healthcare and dignity. Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services provides medical, mental health,and dental care to adult residents of Goochland County who are uninsured and cannot afford this care. Other services include a food pantry, emergency financial assistance, case management, emergency home repair, emergency housing, clothes closet, literacy and GED training, and medical transportation, Patients are required to be Goochland County residents with an income under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
