Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. Programs that conduct HIV tests that detect HIV antibody using blood, serum or oral fluids as specimens, the results of which are available very quickly, usually within five to 30 minutes. A reactive rapid HIV test result must be confirmed by Western blot or immunofluorescence assay (IFA).
