Nia Community Development Corporation of Greater Richmond is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission to empower people to help themselves and others achieve wellness, holistically, through awareness, education, support and advocacy.

At the CARITAS Furniture Bank, we understand that paying rent is not the only financial obstacle to securing housing. We provide gently-used household essentials and furnishings to families and individuals in need in Richmond, Henrico, and Chesterfield. Clients must be referred to us by one of our Referral Partners, as we only schedule clients referred to us by our Partners. We charge a minimal program fee, and provide a volunteer personal shopper so that each client receives the items they need. Furniture and household essentials are given based on need and inventory available at the time of appointment. Depending on inventory, we are committed to providing beds, a sofa, a dining table, a dresser, and other essentials.

Horizon Behavioral Health is the premier provider of mental health, substance use and intellectual disability services in Central Virginia. Horizon's mission is to support and promote the health, independence and self-worth of individuals and families in Central Virginia by providing a continuum of community-based treatment, prevention, early intervention, and aftercare services for persons affected by mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Inova Juniper Program is Northern Virginia's largest provider of HIV/AIDS care. We are proud to offer all aspects of primary medical care and mental health, substance abuse and case management services to HIV positive individuals along with a history of delivering compassionate HIV/AIDS clinical and education services. Our convenient services are available at locations around Northern Virginia. We provide compassionate, dignified care to individuals regardless of their sex, race, background, sexual orientation, religious preference, financial status or insurance coverage. Minority AIDS Support Services is a minority-owned and operated non-profit that supports Hampton Roads by providing free STD/HIV testing, food, and help with signing up for insurance and PrEP.

The Free Clinic of Central Virginia serves low-income (200% of the federal poverty level or lower) persons without health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid for the service being requested and provided. Present figures indicate that over 70% of the patients are working at least one part-time job or more. At least one-third of the Free Clinic patients have been identified with chronic illnesses (i.e. asthma, diabetes, hypertension), which necessitate ongoing medical care and medications. Specialty medical services are available in 20 different areas. A Medication Accesss Program, which is called MedsHelp, provides prescription services to Free Clinic patients as well to patients referred by physicians in the Central Virginia community. A dental clinic for exams, dental hygiene services, restorations, and extractions treated 2,034 unduplicated patients in over 5,200 visits in 2011. Some dental specialty services have been added, but they are only provided to long term patients at this time.
