Structures may include single family dwellings, apartment buildings, duplexes, triplexes, congregate living facilities, mobile home parks, single room occupancy (SRO) housing and other shared housing facilities.

ARS Treatment Center in Charlottesville, VA is a CARF-accredited provider specializing in treating substance use disorders, including opiate treatment, methadone maintenance, and other substance abuse treatment. ARS provides group, individual, and family counseling, and medication-assisted treatment in an intensive outpatient program focused on recovery.

The Free Clinic of Franklin County provides medical care to the uninsured of Franklin County. Our patients have incomes at or below 175% of the federal poverty guidelines. These are hard-working people who cannot afford the insurance offered by their employers.

Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

In 1998, the County Board designated the ACCSB as an “administrative policy community services board.” Under this model, the County’s Department of Human Services is charged with the delivery and management of services while the ACCSB retains its role in policy determination, the direction of services and as an advocate of funding needs. The County serves as the fiscal agent for the ACCSB. To learn more about the relationship between the ACCSB and the County Manager, read the Memorandum of Agreement between the Arlington County Services Board and the Arlington County Manager. The ACCSB is an active body made up of interested members of the community who are appointed by the County Board. The ACCSB meets monthly. Members also frequently participate in one of the committees established by the ACCSB that represent the major service areas. Within these committees are opportunities to provide evaluations of services and to influence budget requests or allocations. The ACCSB is composed of a Chairperson, appointed by the County Board, and as many as 17 other members. Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. is a non-profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), committed to the health care of individuals and families of our community, regardless of race, religion or social status. We currently operate out of six (6) different Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health centers located in Lunenburg, Dinwiddie, Amelia and Greensville Counties. We are dedicated to providing health care to everyone, including the medically underserved, uninsured and underinsured. This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). This health center has FTCA deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Bon Secours has inpatient and outpatient programs for treatment of substance abuse and psychiatric medicine. The inpatient center is Maryview Behavioral Medicine Center, located on the campus of Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth. Chemical Dependency Consultation and Intervention Services This service is designed to recognize and treat chemical dependency in medical/surgical patients and to reduce the complications associated with chemical dependency. Service is provided by selectively trained members of Maryview's chemical dependency service, and includes medical, nursing and counseling services.

United Way is a voluntary, nonprofit organization that brings together community volunteers and agencies to provide health and human services to the people of our community. United Way raises funds and invests them in 33 local health and human service agencies and programs dedicated to helping those who need help.
