Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare (BRBH) is the Community Services Board serving adults, children and families with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia. We serve residents of the Cities of Roanoke and Salem, and the Counties of Botetourt, Craig, and Roanoke.

They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

In the event that you may be experiencing a dire, life threatening emergency call 911, local dispatcher, or proceed directly to the emergency room and identify yourself as a patient of Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. Diabetic Education Classes Diabetes education classes are available at Lunenburg Medical Center as needed. This service is free to our patients.
