The Brock Hughes Free Clinic serves individuals living in Wythe and Bland counties who are not covered by medical insurance, Medicare or Medicaid who meet income requirements at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. The clinic provides general medical care, prescription medications and ancillary health services including health education, nutrition counseling and basic lab testing for those who qualify. Referral arrangements with Wythe County Community Hospital, Counts Pharmacy and specialty providers enable our patients to receive radiology services, laboratory testing, insulin assistance and other specialty medical services. The Brock Hughes Free Clinic operates solely on donations of time, money and services from physicians, health care organizations, businesses and individuals.

Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

The Fauquier Free Clinic serves low-income, uninsured residents of both Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties. Our patients come from households living at or below 150% of the federal poverty level. Over 65% of our patients are employed. Most are working in the service sector or in agriculture. We treat only those patients with no health insurance and no access to Medicaid, Medicare or other health care support.

Established in 1994, Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) continues to be Arlington’s only provider of comprehensive healthcare services for adults living with a low income and without health insurance. While there are approximately 10,000 uninsured adults in Arlington County, AFC is the medical home for over 1,600 of these underserved members of our community. The Free Medical Clinic of Northern Shenandoah Valley in Winchester, Virginia, serves low-income, uninsured working residents of Frederick County, Winchester City, and Clarke County. Almost 100% of patients served by the Free Medical Clinic of Northern Shenandoah Valley have incomes at or below 150% of the federal poverty level. Approximately two-thirds of the FMC of Northern Shenandoah Valley patients have one or more chronic illnesses which require ongoing medication therapies, etc. ? In 2011 the Clinic provided 9366 patient visits, treated 1048 patients, and screened 532 new patients for services.
