Caring Hearts Free Clinic is a volunteer-driven organization committed to creating solutions for a healthy community of all ages by: removing barriers to access; treating holistically with dignity, with respect and without judgment; providing primary care service and health education; and providing support and referral services to those without access to basic health care. Inova Juniper Program is Northern Virginia's largest provider of HIV/AIDS care. We are proud to offer all aspects of primary medical care and mental health, substance abuse and case management services to HIV positive individuals along with a history of delivering compassionate HIV/AIDS clinical and education services. Our convenient services are available at locations around Northern Virginia. We provide compassionate, dignified care to individuals regardless of their sex, race, background, sexual orientation, religious preference, financial status or insurance coverage. The Roanoke Valley Mental Health Care Collaborative provides free mental health assessments, psychiatric care and medication management, access to medications and counseling to uninsured adults who are not eligible for mental health treatment in any other system of care available in our community. More than 95% of our clients have income at less than 150% of the federal poverty level. Services provided through the collaborative decrease the severity of symptoms of psychiatric disorders, improve performance at work or school, strengthen personal and family relationships and enhance the quality of day-to-day functioning for our clients, thereby reducing both human suffering and the economic and societal costs resulting from untreated mental illnesses.

The staff of Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. is dedicated to providing comprehensive, primary health care to individuals and families in need of its services. Care available at Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. includes infant and child care, adolescent medicine, primary gynecology, adult primary care, geriatrics, preventive health care, and minor surgery. Our medical staff is composed of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. Each of our Family Practice Providers are Board Certified and continue to remain current through Continuing Medical Education as required by our Board of Directors. Our nursing staff is composed of Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Medical Assistants, supervised and directed by a Registered Nurse. Certified Radiologic Technologists provide radiology examinations at the medical centers with state-of-the-art x-ray equipment, including bone densitometry. Night, Weekend, and Emergency Services Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. provides for a 24 hour comprehensive medical provider availability should the need arise. When you need to reach us for an emergency or after-hours problem please call the office number to be connected to our after hours on-call service. In the event that you may be experiencing a dire, life threatening emergency call 911, local dispatcher, or proceed directly to the emergency room and identify yourself as a patient of Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. Diabetic Education Classes Diabetes education classes are available at Lunenburg Medical Center as needed. This service is free to our patients. United Way of Greater Williamsburg's Information and Referral Center links people in need to available services. You may have already talked to a couple of human service agencies that were unable to help, don't give up hope. The I&R center collects and maintains information on hundreds of human service organizations - public and private agencies, civic clubs, support or self-help groups, non-profit and for-profit agencies. Each one of these organizations offers different services. One of them may be able to help you.

AHF Healthcare Centers provide advanced medical care designed specifically for HIV-positive clients. AHF providers are knowledgeable of up-to-the-minute developments in HIV medical care. In addition, AHF Healthcare Centers are often part of the research teams testing new medications to fight HIV.

Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

Bridges is an unlocked psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF), offering programs for Virginia children and adolescents ages 6-17. Residential treatment programs are helpful for youth who have not responded to outpatient treatments, who have educational needs that cannot be met in a less restrictive setting, or who are in need of further intensive treatment following inpatient acute psychiatric care. For youth who have exhausted the less restrictive options in their community, Bridges is there to help.
