The Virginia Medication Assistance Program (ADAP) provides medication for the treatment of HIV/AIDS to individuals without insurance coverage or third party benefits for ADAP medications. The individual must also meet financial eligibility requirements as established by the Department of Health.

Bon Secours has inpatient and outpatient programs for treatment of substance abuse and psychiatric medicine. The inpatient center is Maryview Behavioral Medicine Center, located on the campus of Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth. Chemical Dependency Consultation and Intervention Services This service is designed to recognize and treat chemical dependency in medical/surgical patients and to reduce the complications associated with chemical dependency. Service is provided by selectively trained members of Maryview's chemical dependency service, and includes medical, nursing and counseling services.

Central Virginia Health Services is a non-profit community health center with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.

CARITAS creates a safe space to heal and time to rebuild to individuals and families dealing with the crisis of homelessness and/or addiction in the Metro Richmond area.

We serve everyone—regardless of age or insurance status. We want patients to understand that we—the staff, the doctors, the nurses— live, work and play in the same community as they do. When patients come to Community Access Network, they’re being treated by their neighbors, their fellow church members and those they see on the bus every morning. We want our patients to understand that their health is all that matters to us and that the quality of care they’ll receive will be consistent, courteous and compassionate. Our medical offices are open evening hours, and we offer same-day and walk-in services at some locations. We accept most insurances, including: PCHP, Optima, Anthem, Aetna, VAPremier, Tricare, Medicaid and Medicare.

The Lackey Free Clinic is a faith-based free health ministry, and serves patients who live in Williamsburg, York County, and Newport News. We provide medical, dental and mental health care as well as prescriptions to individuals residing in the area who fall below 200% of the federal poverty level and are not insured. Many of our patients work multiple part-time jobs or full-time jobs but do not have health benefits.

LGBT Life Center is a trusted leader that empowers the LGBTQ communities and all people affected by HIV through improving health and wellness, strengthening families and communities, and providing transformative education and advocacy. We offer free HIV & STI testing services, housing services, medical services, case management, social support programming for the LGBTQ+ community, youth programming, senior programming, PrEP and HIV prevention services, mental health and counseling, and intimate partner violence crisis intervention. Established in 1994, Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) continues to be Arlington’s only provider of comprehensive healthcare services for adults living with a low income and without health insurance. While there are approximately 10,000 uninsured adults in Arlington County, AFC is the medical home for over 1,600 of these underserved members of our community.
