Shenandoah County Free Clinic sees people at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty level who have no other means of acquiring health care. Most of the patients are below 100% of the poverty level. Approximately two-thirds of the patients have one or more chronic conditions requiring continuing medication. Thanks to award-winning volunteers and donated services, the clinic is able to provide over $8 in care for every dollar received.

Operating for 40+ years, Southeastern Virginia Health System (SEVHS) is the premier community-based health care initiative in Hampton Roads for the insured, uninsured, and underinsured. The 501(c)3 operates twelve sites, providing primary care and dental services to individuals and families. SEVHS physicians are board-certified and provide services in the areas of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. With practices located in Newport News, Hampton, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Franklin, SEVHS also offers a number of other support services such as health education and nutrition counseling, case management, referrals to specialty care, medication assistance and on-site lab testing. Southeastern Virginia Health System is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VACHA). They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The Loudoun Free Clinic provides quality volunteer health care services to low-income, uninsured residents of Loudoun County whose health care needs would otherwise go unmet. To qualify for services, patients must be residents of Loudoun County, ages 18 ? 64, uninsured and have income levels at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Counseling involves a personal risk assessment, development of a personalized action plan and the decision to seek an HIV test. Individuals who have a history of injection drug use, unprotected intercourse or sexual contact, sexual activity at a young age, multiple sex partners, sexually transmitted infection, and/or sex trade work are considered to be at high or increased risk and are targets for prevention counseling.
