Established in 1994, Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) continues to be Arlington’s only provider of comprehensive healthcare services for adults living with a low income and without health insurance. While there are approximately 10,000 uninsured adults in Arlington County, AFC is the medical home for over 1,600 of these underserved members of our community. Organizations that make an effort to increase the availability and utilization of community services by specific target populations by providing direct services for targeted individuals in their homes or other convenient locations or by making special efforts to ensure that a particular group is aware of available services and encouraged to participate. Included are programs that do outreach regarding their own services as well as those which encourage a target population to use a wide variety of services.

Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board is a leading provider in mental health, substance abuse, and developmental services. They are one of 40 community-based public providers of mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability services throughout Virginia. The Commonwealth has designated the 40 CSBs as the single point of entry into publicly funded behavioral health and developmental services. HRCSB is supported through local, state and federal funds. They provide an array of programs and support directly, and through partnerships with other providers.

We offer conventional Hepatitis B & C testing (via blood draw) and rapid testing for Hepatitis C.

The Lackey Free Clinic is a faith-based free health ministry, and serves patients who live in Williamsburg, York County, and Newport News. We provide medical, dental and mental health care as well as prescriptions to individuals residing in the area who fall below 200% of the federal poverty level and are not insured. Many of our patients work multiple part-time jobs or full-time jobs but do not have health benefits.

They started in 1970 as a community-based and patient-directed organization focused on providing care to people with limited access to the health services they need. They are committed to and must uphold a high level of care, meeting administrative, clinical, and financial standards as part of responsibility as a FQHC. They offer comprehensive care: medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and at some sites, x-ray services. The majority of their governing board is made up of their patients – at least 51% of board members must be representative of the patients they serve.
