Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. is a non-profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), committed to the health care of individuals and families of our community, regardless of race, religion or social status. We currently operate out of six (6) different Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health centers located in Lunenburg, Dinwiddie, Amelia and Greensville Counties. We are dedicated to providing health care to everyone, including the medically underserved, uninsured and underinsured. This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). This health center has FTCA deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

The Community Clinic serves as primary care access for our community and team members who do not currently have a primary care provider or who need a timely appointment. The community clinic will operate as a primary care facility for adults who will benefit from a patient-centered approach that provides and all-inclusive environment and timely access to services. Our dedicated team includes resident physicians, medical students, Advanced Practice Provider students, medical assistants, nurses, case managers, and experienced clinicians, all who will work together to provide high-quality care. The clinic will address a wide range of medical needs, including:
  • Chronic/routine Conditions: high blood pressure, heart disease, or asthma
  • Acute Care: head colds, rashes, and achy joints
  • Preventative services: annual wellness checks, screenings, and immunizations.
Whether a person requires routine check-ups, management of chronic conditions, or urgent medical attention, the Community Clinic can be their primary home.

CrossOver Healthcare Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the uninsured and those enrolled in Medicaid in our community through the operation of two healthcare clinics, one in the City of Richmond and one in Henrico County. At Rehabilitation Hospital of Bristol, a joint venture of Ballad Health and Encompass Health, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Bristol and serving the Tri-Cities area, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions. Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals. Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits. Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed. *The hospital provides access to independent physicians.
